Terra Nova National Park
National park · Newfoundland

Rocky fingers of Bonavista Bay reach into black spruce and balsam fir forest on Newfoundland's northeast coast, with pockets of maple, mountain ash, and tamarack breaking up the conifers along the shoreline trails. The Ochre Hill Lookout climbs above the treeline for a view over the inlets and forested hills, best in late September to early October before the tamarack needles drop.
