Autumn foliage at Zlatibor

A rolling limestone plateau in western Serbia said to take its name from the golden hue its high pastures turn each fall, ringed by beech and black pine above 1,000m. Trails climb Tornik peak at 1,496m, and the resort town of Zlatibor makes an easy base for day hikes through the color change.
