Amsterdamse Bos

A 1,000-hectare woodland planted by unemployment-relief crews starting in 1934, with the last trees going in during the 1970s. Oak and beech along the southern paths near Aalsmeer and Bovenkerk color first; the 1937 Bosbaan rowing course reflects it all from the water.
