A basalt gorge in Miyagi Prefecture cut by the Oyasu River, walked via a riverside path and viewed from the Ofukazawa observation deck. It's one of Tohoku's most famous fall panoramas, usually peaking in mid-October.

Trail

A mossy mountain stream draining Lake Towada, walked on a level path beneath maple and beech for nine miles of waterfalls and rapids. It's Tohoku's most famous single walk, usually turning through mid-to-late October.
