Czechia's oldest national park, established in 1963 around Sněžka, the country's highest peak at 1,603 meters. Beech and spruce forest climbs from the valley floor to alpine tundra near the summit, with 800 kilometers of marked trails through a range shared as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve with Poland.
